While it may Serve a Good Purpose in Protecting certain "Tenants" in certain "Situations" it also harms Landlords . When Tenants - Squatter or Other Resident will not Pay Rent and Will Not Vacate they provide Legal Aid for them to "Prolong" there Occupancy.
This is not Justice this is an Injustice and harms Landlords and Property Owners that are Struggling.
Housing Justice doesn't care about "Settlements" or doing what's right they only care about the Belief that Landlords are Evil and Property Owners are Evil and all Tenants are in the "Right". That couldn't be further from the Truth .
What they do to Landlords
Recently trying to "Negotiate" a Matter with Housing Justice Project we wanted to be "Fair" but also look out for our Interests and our Clients Interest. Housing Justice Project stalled and negotiated with us for 2 Weeks .
We made a Fair Offer to avoid Eviction and make sure all "Parties" got what they wanted and needed . Only to have Housing Justice Project vanish and not keep there end of the deal.
This is a Property where a Home Owner is Selling there Home and Notice was given and the Occupant had Excuse after Excuse why they where not able to move .
Now since they have Housing Justice Project they are Not Paying Rent and Not Vacating and Forcing this to be dealt with as an Eviction.
Supporting Deadbeats
If you have Deadbeats in a Property or Squatters with No Lease and No Intention of Paying Rent in this Society they can reach out to Housing Justice Project.
Remember "Squatters" are Criminals so even more why not offer them Free Legal Aid to keep stealing and committing there Actions .
Housing Justice Project should be renamed to Housing Injustice , a Bunch of Pro Bono Ambulance Chasers who have a Goal of getting Courts to Sanction the Home Owners and Property Owners to keep Funding there Organization.
